What Does Canceling or Revoking Leave Requests Mean?
Canceling Leave Requests: An employee withdraws a pending or approved leave request because they no longer need the time off.
- Revoking Leave Requests: A manager or supervisor removes an employee’s approved leave request, often due to business needs or scheduling conflicts.Both actions ensure that leave records remain accurate and up to date.
How Employees Can Cancel Leave RequestsIf you submitted a leave request but need to cancel it, follow these steps:
1. Log in to Your TimeOff Account - Go to the dashboard and access the My Leave section.
2. Find the Leave Request - Look for the leave request you want to cancel.
- The system will display all your pending and approved requests.
3. Click the Cancel Option- Select the leave request and click the Cancel or Withdraw option.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
4. Receive Confirmation- You will receive a notification confirming that your leave request has been canceled.
- Your leave balance will automatically update to reflect the canceled days.
How Managers Can Revoke Leave RequestsManagers may need to revoke leave requests due to unexpected team needs or scheduling conflicts.
Here’s how:
1. Access the Team Leave Section - Log in as an administrator or manager.
- Go to the Team Leave or Approvals section.
2. Locate the Employee’s Leave Request - Find the leave request you need to revoke.
- Use filters to search by employee name, leave type, or date.
3. Revoke the Leave Request - Click the Revoke  or Cancel option.
- Provide a reason for revoking the leave (optional).
- Confirm the action to finalize the change.
4. Notify the Employee- The system will automatically notify the employee that their leave request has been revoked.
- The leave balance will be adjusted accordingly.
