How to cancel Stripe subscription

3 min read By TimeOff Support

Administrators can manage billing from the Billing section in TimeOff.Management.

If your company pays through Stripe, you can use the Manage Billing option to open Stripe and cancel the subscription.

Cancelling your subscription does not remove your account immediately.

You can continue using TimeOff.Management until the end of the current payment cycle.

Before cancelling your subscription

Before cancelling, check whether your company needs to keep any records.

You may want to download:

  • employee leave reports
  • allowance and PTO reports
  • company backup data
  • invoices
  • payroll records
  • absence history

How to cancel your Stripe subscription

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the main menu.
  2. Go to Billing.
  3. Select Manage Billing.
  4. You will be redirected to Stripe.
  5. Follow the Stripe steps to cancel the subscription.

Stripe handles the cancellation process.

Follow the instructions shown in Stripe before confirming.

What happens after cancellation?

After the subscription is cancelled, TimeOff.Management will still charge you for the current payment cycle.

This is because we do not charge upfront.

You can continue using TimeOff.Management until the end of the current payment cycle.

The final invoice is based on:

  • the current payment cycle
  • the number of employees in the account
  • the normal billing rules for your subscription

Access until the end of the payment cycle

After cancellation, your account remains active until the end of the current payment cycle.

During this time, you can continue to:

  • view calendars
  • manage leave
  • download reports
  • export company data
  • save invoices and records

Use this time to download anything your company needs to keep.

Read-only access after the payment cycle ends

After the current payment cycle ends, your TimeOff.Management account remains available in read-only mode for two weeks.

During read-only access, you can still review and download information.

You will not be able to continue using the account as normal unless a new subscription is set up.

Account deletion after two weeks

If no new subscription is set up during the read-only period, the account will be permanently deleted after two weeks.

Do not wait until the end of the read-only period to download important data.

Once the account is permanently deleted, company data may not be recoverable.

Cancelling billing is not the same as deleting data immediately

Cancelling your Stripe subscription starts the end-of-subscription process.

It does not instantly remove your account on the same day.

StageWhat it means
Cancel Stripe subscriptionStops future renewal and confirms the account will not continue after the current payment cycle
Current payment cycleThe account remains active and can be used as normal
Final invoiceYou are charged for the current payment cycle because TimeOff.Management does not charge upfront
Read-only accessAfter the payment cycle ends, you can review and download data for two weeks
Account deletionThe account is removed after the read-only period if no new subscription is set up

If you want to keep using TimeOff.Management

If you cancelled by mistake or changed your mind, set up a new subscription before the read-only period ends.

This helps avoid permanent account deletion.

If you need invoices

Before or after cancellation, check your billing records and save invoices needed by your finance team.

If you cannot see Manage Billing

If you cannot see the billing option, check whether:

  • you are logged in as an administrator
  • your company account uses Stripe billing
  • another administrator manages billing
  • your account has the correct permissions

Ask another company administrator to check the Billing section if needed.

Best practice

Download a company backup and save any required invoices before cancelling your subscription.

You can continue using TimeOff.Management until the end of the current payment cycle.

After that, use the two-week read-only period to check that all important records have been saved.
