🗂️ New: Leave Policies
We have added a new Leave Policies feature to make leave type setup safer and easier to control.
Before, any new leave type added to the system could become available to every employee. This meant admins had to manually close that leave type for people who should not use it.
With Leave Policies, you can now group selected leave types together and assign them to:
- employees
- departments
- locations
This gives you much better control over who can request each type of leave.
For simple setups, you can still use the Global Leave Type List if the same leave types apply to everyone.
For more advanced setups, you can create different policies for different groups. For example, managers, salaried staff, farm staff, or employees in a specific location can each have their own set of available leave types.
When a new employee is added to a department or location, they can automatically be covered by the right policy.
