🧭 Settings in one place, and a menu you can make your own

Everything an administrator configures now sits on one page. Settings in the left menu opens a hub with a tile for each of Departments, Locations, Bank holidays, Working schedule, Office screens, Leave types, Employee policies, Blackouts and company events, Carry-over allowance, General settings, Advanced settings and Billing, grouped as the company’s own setup, the rules leave follows, and the account. Search settings… finds one by name or by what it does, and each of those pages now carries All settings above its title to get back.

Any page of Settings, Reports or Employee policies can be pinned to the menu. Hover over a tile and Pin to the menu appears beside it; the page joins a Pinned group under the main items, with Unpin on the row. Pins are yours alone, kept on the browser you set them on.

The bar across the top is rebuilt around all of this. On the left, the mark and your company’s name, which take you to My calendar. On the right, Add leave; Leave requests, carrying the number waiting for you, in place of the bell; Help, which gathers What’s new, the User manual and Contact us; and your avatar, with My profile and Logout.

Notices now show as a strip across the top of the page.

⏱️ Hours name their minutes, and signing in looks new

If your company shows leave in hours — Leave duration display set to Days and hours or Hours only in General settings — every figure now names its minutes. Ten and three-quarter hours reads 10h 45m rather than 10.75h, a longer leave reads 1d 2h 15m, and half an hour reads 30m. The amounts an administrator enters in hours read the same way, and so do the leave emails.

Signing in looks new as well. Sign in, Try TimeOff.Management for free, Reset your password and Set a new password are one card under the TimeOff.Management mark on a softer background, and on a phone the card gives way so the form has the screen to itself. Enter submits on every one of them, password managers are offered the save, and Sign in gets the show and hide control on its password field. The checklist under a new password ticks each rule on its own, and a reset link that has expired or been used offers you a new one.

This release also brings a kinder answer when a single sign-on provider turns you away, and a tidier footer on a phone.

✏️ Admins manage their own leave, and My Calendar on a phone

An administrator can edit and cancel their own leave from Leave details, the same way they can for anyone else in the company. Open the window from a leave wherever one appears: the pencil opens Edit leave, and an approved leave offers Cancel leave, with notifications sent once it is confirmed.

On a phone, My Calendar gives each of your leaves a row of its own in List view — the dates, how long the leave is, the leave type and where it stands — and marks a row whose leave carries comments. A tap anywhere on the row opens Leave details on that leave, and in Upcoming months and Full year, tapping your own leave in the month opens it too.

This release also brings a number of smaller fixes to employee records and Employee policies.

✅ Decide a leave request with everything in front of you

Everything a decision needs is on the request itself, set out the way the Leave details window sets it out. Each request in the list of leave requests names the person and their department and the leave type, says how long it has been waiting, with the exact time when you hover over it, and shows the dates, with the part of the day at each end where the leave is for part of a day. There is a summary of the leave’s figures and where it stands: what the leave costs or how long it is, Currently available, the leave type’s limit where it has one, and Awaiting approval. Also off names who else is away, in the person’s department and beyond, where there is anyone to name, and Comments are there where the request has any.

Decide where you are: an Optional comment box, then Decline and Approve, or Decline revoke and Approve revoke on a request to revoke a leave. The request stays where it is and says what happened — Leave approved, for example — without the list moving under you. Details opens the Leave details window on that request, so a request you can decide is a request you can open in full, and where you may edit, the pencil opens Edit leave. Open the list from Leave requests in the bar at the top of the page.

📥 Every pending leave request in one list, for admins

Admins get one place to see, and act on, every leave request in the company that is awaiting a decision. At the top of the list of leave requests, switch on All requests in the company. With the switch off, the list shows the requests waiting for you. An Admin chip marks a request you see only because you are an administrator, one that is waiting for someone else’s approval. Approve and Decline work the same way on every request in the list, and the switch stays at the top while you scroll.

Open the list from Leave requests in the bar at the top of the page. On the Dashboard, the arrow on the Pending leave requests card opens the same list with every request showing.

📝 Add leave form with a summary before you send

The Add leave form shows what a leave will cost, what you will have left and who will decide, before you send it. Open it from Add leave in the header, from the + on a calendar day or from the mobile menu, then choose the leave type and the dates.

A summary stays in view at the bottom of the form as you fill it in. It shows what the leave costs or how long it is, what you will have left, the leave type’s limit where it has one, and who decides: the people it goes to for approval, or Booked immediately — no approval needed. Anything that would stop the leave being added is shown beside the field it is about, so you can fix it where it is. The summary is a guide, and the leave is checked again when you add it. Once it is added, the form stays open and says what happened — Leave booked and approved, for example — with Add another and View on calendar beside it. Admins also get an Email notifications switch.

🔎 Leave details window

Click a leave on Team View, on a calendar or in a list of leave, and Leave details opens with everything about it in one place: the person and the leave type, the dates, and a summary of the leave’s figures. The summary also says where the leave stands — Awaiting approval, who approved or declined it, or Cancelled.

The actions you are allowed to take are pinned at the bottom. Approve or Decline in one click, with an Optional comment. Cancelling or revoking asks you to confirm at the bottom of the window, with the leave still in front of you. After any action the window stays open, the summary shows the new state, and a short line confirms it, such as Leave approved. Where you may edit, the pencil opens Edit leave, which works the same way as the Add leave form.

🕒 Several part-day leaves on one date

Real days are mixed: an hour for an appointment, and later the same day a couple of hours for something else. One employee can have more than one part-day leave on the same date, as long as together they fit within that day’s working hours. If one does not fit, the form says how many hours are still free that day. Calendars and Team View show every one of them that you are allowed to see. It matters most to companies whose employees add leave in Hours, which is set up with a Leave increment policy.

📏 Leave increment by leave type

Different leave types need different precision: holiday in days, say, and other leave types in hours. A Leave increment policy has a Leave types row, and the Minimum bookable unit it sets applies only to the leave types listed there. Left empty, it reads All leave types and applies to every leave type. A rule that names a leave type overrides one that names none. Who a policy covers can also be set by Tags, with Excluded employees to leave people out. Find it under More → Policies → Leave increment.

🏷️ Filter and group Team View by tag

Team View’s Refine menu has a Tags column for choosing which tags to display, including Untagged for people with no tag. Grouping offers By tag too: someone with more than one tag appears under each of them, and people with none are grouped under No tags. A person’s tags also show when you hover over their avatar. Only the tags you are allowed to see appear.
