How do login methods and password resets work in TimeOff.Management?

1 min read By TimeOff Support

TimeOff.Management supports two ways for employees to sign in:

  • Email/Password
  • Google or Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO)

Each employee has one active login method at a time. The default is Email/Password.

How do I know which login method to use?

Use the login method configured for your employee account.

If your account uses Email/Password, sign in using the email address linked to your TimeOff.Management profile and your TimeOff password.

If your account uses Google or Microsoft SSO, choose the appropriate Google or Microsoft option on the login page.

You cannot use a TimeOff.Management password while SSO is the active login method.

How do I reset my password?

Password reset is only available when your active login method is Email/Password.

On the login page:

  1. Select Forgotten password.
  2. Enter the email address linked to your TimeOff.Management account.
  3. Submit the reset request.
  4. Open the reset email.
  5. Follow the link and create a new password.

If you request more than one reset email, use the most recent reset link.

For full instructions, see Password recovery.

What if I normally sign in with Google or Microsoft?

Do not use Forgotten password to reset your TimeOff.Management password.

Instead, sign in using the same Google or Microsoft account you normally use.

If you are unsure which login method is configured, your TimeOff administrator can check it in:

Employees → Select employee → Employee Details → Edit Mode → Login Type

Administrators can also change an employee between Email/Password and Google/Microsoft SSO if required.

What if the password reset email does not arrive?

Check:

  • your spam or junk folder;
  • that you entered the email address used on your TimeOff employee profile;
  • whether your company email system has blocked the message;
  • whether you are actually configured to use Email/Password rather than SSO.

Your administrator can confirm the email address and login method saved on your account.

For more information about configuring login methods, see Login type (enable SSO).
